PHASE I
In early spring of 2021, renovations at the newly acquired hotel began. The building had not been updated for decades and it showed. The first phase of changes included the 24 hotel rooms and the interior of the lobby. The old carpets were stripped and replaced with fresh, new hardwood floors. New paint, shiplap accent walls, brand new mattresses, linens, toiletries, furniture, and new staff were added as Ludlam Hotel opened for its first summer.
PHASE II
The next phase of renovations began in the fall of 2021 as soon as the summer season commenced. All bathrooms were completely gutted and remodeled to increase their size. The process included installing new showers, tile, sinks, and toilets. The building's existing windows and sliding glass doors were removed and brand new, wall-to-wall sliders were put in. Brand new siding and railings were updated, and a brand new heating and air conditioning system was installed for the entire building.

PHASE III
The iconic corner that hosts Ludlam Hotel is also home to Shorebreak Cafe and Ludlam Bar & Grill. Having a place to grab coffee and pastries, as well as somewhere to enjoy live music and fresh food & cocktails on-site is a great addition to our guest experience.
While Shorebreak Cafe and Ludlam Hotel will remain open in late winter/early spring, Ludlam Hotel will be temporarily closed after the new year through late spring 2023 to have a brand-new elevator installed, and to continue cosmetic improvements on the interior of the hotel.
